“The comfort zone is the great enemy to creativity”
This couldn't be any more relevant, who doesn't like being comfortable? We are all victims of this. It's if you decide to move away from the stressless, no-risk method and to break that cycle that really gets the cogs going. This is where I'm at. And it's really exciting!
I Googled creativity books, this is the one that cought my eye.
For starting a blog this is a fab foundation to get the ball rolling. Easily absorbing, easy reading, quote inspiring in a very simplistic style. “Show Your Work” is an outlook on not being afraid to share what interests us and what we are working on. It's a really enjoyable read on how to put ourselves out there and not be scared of self-promotion.
This has made me realise that my life has been very narrow for quite some time. It gives you a motive, boosts the confidence, makes a more actionable “you” from the generous kick up the rear that sometimes we may need in a while.
It's a short book with great messages that are engaging and inspiring to share your content with the world. I will definitely be buying his other books.
Being a beginner is amazing. We have nothing to lose and all to gain. We have our arms open to hug new information. This is what brings me onto the aftermath of the book above.
Print on demand - A print on demand business is where you work with a supplier of white-label products (like hats or tote bags) to customize those products and sell them on a per-order basis under your own brand and with your own designs.
With print on demand, you don’t pay for the cost of the product until after you’ve actually sold it, so there’s no need to buy in bulk or hold any inventory yourself. Everything after the sale, including printing to shipping the product, is handled by the supplier, so you can work on this from the comfort of your home.
This is how I found the website www.looka.com. A very easy immerseful website with brilliant artificial intelligence to help you design and create professional business logos.
Guess what? I've created a logo!
With this logo I then set up an account on www.printify.com. This is the designing part of the products you want to sell. Yet again, very easy, just make sure you have the location of the distributor in your country otherwise long delivery times await you.
I decided to use the marketplace www.etsy.com. With this, you create an “Etsy Shop” and “connect your store” - my printify account.
So, I sell my products on Etsy. Printify does the printing of product, order of fulfillment and delivers the product. They all take a cut obviously but its start, more to the point, it's so easy!
This online business is a great way to create products quickly. It has low risk and low investment which is appealing.
It does have drawbacks, you don't have control over the shipping and you do have limited products to play with. This is a great way to test new business ideas or promote a niche in the market.
This is my shop so far.

Bear with it as it's only just arrived. I do intend to expand it over time, you'll all be kept in the loop, that's the joys of having a blog, you become a documentarian, you show your work.
